ROMP is an inspired, fun-filled annual gala that benefits a very serious cause – keeping families close to their hospitalized child. Since its founding in 2010, ROMP has grown into one of San Diego’s premier events.
ROMP features gourmet dining, upbeat entertainment and dancing in a festive, upscale atmosphere. ROMP sponsorship and table hosting is an outstanding way to make a powerful impact for one of our city’s most beloved causes – San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House.
This year, prepare to be dazzled and delighted by an island-inspired atmosphere, exciting entertainment, and delectable cuisine. The elegant blend of Polynesian culture combined with ROMP’s signature playful feel will immerse you in the spirit of ROMP: Aloha.

What is the theme of ROMP 2017?
At this year’s ROMP we would like to welcome you to the Ronald McDonald House ‘Ohana (family), with an elegant evening celebrating a blend of Polynesian culture and the spirit of Aloha. Every day of the year 8%-10% of our suites are occupied by Hawaiian families. While these families are far from home, they receive the care, support, and comfort from the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego during their time of need. At ROMP: Aloha, we will come together to support these families and all of the 15,000 family members who use our services annually, because ‘ohana (family) is everything when caring for a hospitalized child.
What can I expect at ROMP?
ROMP is an evening of unique entertainment and casual socializing over inspired small bites and cocktails. You’ll connect and enjoy yourself over a seated gourmet dinner and dancing with 350 of San Diego’s leading corporate and community philanthropists. Throughout this fun evening of food, drinks, and entertainment, you will be immersed in the vital significance of San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House.
What does my ticket include?
Your ticket to ROMP includes valet parking, gourmet seated dinner, unique entertainment, cocktails, and most importantly a $300 tax-deductible donation to support the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego, which provides essential comfort and care to over 15,000 family members with a hospitalized child annually.
