A message from the Stafford Family
Please help families find hope with a holiday gift to San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House!
Life turned upside down when our baby needed emergency surgery on his lungs while still in the womb. Declan entered the world shortly after and was rushed to intensive care. We couldn’t even hold him.

Declan was fragile, and his condition could change at any time. We couldn’t bear to leave him when he was struggling so hard to survive. But the rest of life kept going. Our son and daughter needed us, too. We traveled day and night from Carlsbad to the hospital, filled with anxiety, so very exhausted.
Hope is hard to hold onto when you’re bone tired and on the edge of tears in fear for your child. But our lives were about to brighten — a room opened at the Ronald McDonald House! It was just what we needed, right when we needed it most.
Just $50 helps keep a family close for a night.
Please give, so the sickest and most vulnerable children can have their families near.
Staying close to the hospital gave us more time together, instead of being stuck in traffic. We were so grateful for the beds and soft pillows! Our older kids, Hailey and Aiden, could stay with us and even go to school at the House. Best of all, we had peace of mind, knowing we were just steps away from Declan.
Thanks to giving people like you, we were at Declan’s side to advocate for him and see what worked best in his care.
The Ronald McDonald House runs on donations. It needs your help to keep families together with their hospitalized kids. Truly, you’ll give relief and new hope to overwhelmed moms and dads who are trying so hard to keep it together for their children.
You’ll help little babies and children feel secure with their families at their side. You might even help children go home sooner. That’s what happened with Declan. After a month in the hospital, he was strong enough to go home! His lungs look good now, and he’s growing bigger by the day.
The kindness and generosity we experienced at the Ronald McDonald House was an incredible gift we won’t ever forget. And it’s a gift you can make possible for the next family in their time of need.
May you have a blessed holiday season — healthy, happy, and together with those you love.
Warmly,
Eva & Kyle

P.S. Each $50 helps keep a family close for a night. Please give as many nights as you can — every night counts when you need to be with your child!
