A Big-League Boost for Families
We’re excited to announce the opening of the Padres Clubhouse, a bright, welcoming space at San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House that brings the heart of Petco Park to families caring for a child undergoing serious medical treatment.
This one-of-a-kind clubhouse is made possible through the generosity of starting pitcher Yu Darvish and the San Diego Padres Foundation, part of the Peter Seidler Legacy Projects.
We celebrated its grand opening this summer with Yu Darvish, the Friar, and members of the Pad Squad—both human and puppy!

Features of the Padres Clubhouse include:
- Life-Size Yu Darvish – A fun mural where kids can measure themselves next to the Padres ace.
- Reading Nook – A cozy corner for curious minds and big imaginations.
- Video Gaming Station – Fun for kids—and kids at heart.
- Big Screen TV – Catch every Padres game and cheer together.
- Dry-Erase Wall – Creativity takes the field with colorful doodles and designs.
A Partnership That Goes the Distance
This new space builds on decades of Padres support—from funding the original Padres Playroom and supporting Red Shoe Day, to unforgettable game-day experiences.
We are deeply grateful to the Darvish family and the Padres Foundation for helping make smiles, high-fives, and healing happen here.
