This fall, we are excited to welcome Alex Loker as Ronald McDonald House San Diego’s incoming President and CEO. Alex will join the House on September 21, bringing more than 20 years of nonprofit healthcare leadership and a longstanding dedication to children and families. 

Having worked alongside Ronald McDonald House San Diego during her time at Rady Children’s Health, Alex has seen the comfort, support and sense of home the House provides to families. 

A Familiar Face in the Community 

Most recently, Alex served as Vice President of Philanthropy at Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation, where she led community fundraising and engagement, served as Rady Children’s community spokesperson, and secured transformational gifts to expand services for patients. Before joining Rady Children’s, she served as Executive Director of the March of Dimes San Diego-Imperial Division.

Throughout her career, Alex has been dedicated to supporting children and families, making her a natural fit for Ronald McDonald House San Diego.

Looking Ahead 

Alex joins the House as we prepare for a new chapter. During his 16 years of leadership, President and CEO Chuck Day helped strengthen Ronald McDonald House San Diego and expand its impact on thousands of families. Chuck will remain in his role until Alex’s arrival and continue supporting the organization through early October to ensure a smooth transition. 

In the coming months, Alex will begin meeting the staff, volunteers, donors and community partners who make our House a home for families.
