This year’s Giving Tuesday was an outstanding success, raising a total of $93,498 for family care.
We are grateful to our Board of Trustees for their leadership and generosity in providing matching gifts. With the match and generous donations, we surpassed our $80,000 goal.
Little Things
Families are so thankful for the lodging, meals, and other services they experience at San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House. But little things they encounter here – like a smile or the smell of fresh cookies – help them relax and renew themselves for the challenges they face. Here are just a few examples:
- “Being able to cook meals for all of us to share in our son’s hospital room, together as a family, made the moments at the hospital feel not just bearable, but pleasant and like home.”
- “I was so thankful for a shower, a toothbrush – all the little things to help us meet our basic needs.”
- “From the greeting at the front door to the smiles in the hallways, it all means so much.”
And when parents learn that their stay is made possible by caring donors in our community – that makes a world of difference indeed.
