Donna and Steve Evans have long had a heart for Ronald McDonald House Charities®. Donna began her involvement some 30 years ago in Boston, where she served on the Board of Trustees for the local organization. Steve is a senior leader in the McDonald’s Corporation and has supported the Ronald McDonald Houses since 1980.
This longtime connection became a catalyst for the Evans’ decision to add Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego to their family trust. “It goes back to what’s in your heart,” says Donna, who currently serves as Board Chair for our San Diego House. “For us, it was thinking about legacy. We are very proud to be in a position to help our San Diego Ronald McDonald House.”

Planned Giving
Steve wanted to support an important mission — families in medical crisis — and to continue doing so well into the future. “Creating a planned gift with an established organization like the Ronald McDonald House makes me feel confident that my gift will continue well beyond my lifetime.”
You can make a planned gift to the San Diego Ronald McDonald House in many ways, including leaving a specified amount of cash or securities, leaving a share of your estate, making a contingent gift, or creating a trust to pay income to your surviving family members while designating the remaining balance for the House.
If you would like to consider Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego in your planned giving portfolio, please contact Charles E. Day at 858.598.2420 or cday@rmhcsd.org.
